Will an adhesive grip stick to my case?

Stick-on grips fail for one reason far more often than any other: the surface.

What it bonds to

Smooth, hard plastic or a glass back. Polycarbonate cases are ideal. So is a bare phone, though most people would rather not.

What it does not bond to

• Silicone. The surface is designed to shed grip. Nothing stays on it.
• Textured or matte TPU. Only the raised parts touch the pad, so the real contact area is a fraction of what it looks like.
• Fabric, leather and wallet backs. The adhesive bonds to the surface fibres, then peels them off.

Fitting it properly

Clean with the alcohol wipe supplied, not with a cloth. Press firmly for thirty seconds. Then leave it an hour before hanging any weight on it. Most early failures are impatience, not adhesive.

Re-sticking

Possible once or twice; tack drops each time. Once the backing film is off, the item counts as used and cannot come back as a change of mind.
